What people ask before choosing a roofing service.
How do I know if I need a roof repair or a new roof?
A repair fits when the problem has one cause, such as a pipe boot, a flashing or a few wind-lost shingles, and the rest of the roof lies flat. A replacement fits when shingles are worn, curling or bald on most slopes or leaks keep appearing in new places.
Should I choose asphalt shingles or a metal roof?
Architectural shingles cost less up front and last 25 to 30 years. Standing seam metal costs about two to three times as much and lasts 40 to 70 years. Metal makes sense if you plan to stay for decades, get heavy snow or plan solar panels.
Is storm damage repair different from a regular roof repair?
The repair work is similar, but storm damage adds documentation for an insurance claim: photos of every slope, dented vents and gutters, and a report your adjuster can use. We also meet the adjuster on the roof if you file.
Which roofing service is fastest?
A leak repair, usually done in one visit, often the day you call. Gutter installation takes one day for most houses. A shingle roof replacement takes one to three days on site, and a metal roof three to eight days once the panels arrive.
Should I replace gutters at the same time as the roof?
If the gutters are old or sagging, yes: the new drip edge and gutter apron go in with the roof, and one crew handles both. Sound gutters can be taken down and rehung for less. We price both options in the same estimate.
Do roofing prices change from state to state?
Yes. Labor, permit fees and wind or ice code requirements differ by state and county, so the ranges on these pages are typical, not local. Your written estimate is priced for your address after the inspection.
