How it started

A two-person crew that got tired of apologizing for other contractors.

ProBuild Remodeling started as a founder with a license, a truck and one carpenter, taking the jobs other contractors had walked away from half-finished. Almost every first conversation was the same: the last company disappeared, the price doubled, nobody knew when it would end.

So the first contracts were written to answer those three things before they were asked. A fixed price. A named crew. A finish date. That was the whole business plan, and it still is. The crew grew into crews, the service area grew along the East Coast, and the three lines in the contract never changed.

Every estimate is fixed, itemized and shows three tiers. Hidden problems get a photo, a separate price and your written approval before anyone touches them.

Meet your crew before day one

One supervisor, one named crew, all background-checked and introduced at the pre-construction walkthrough. No one you have not met enters your home.

A finish date, in the contract

Start date, finish date and a text every working day. If we cause a delay, the on-time guarantee pays you a credit for every working day lost.

Your home stays livable

Dust walls, floor protection and a clean-up before we leave every evening. A temporary kitchen or bathroom is set up before demolition starts.

Permits under our license

We pull every permit, schedule every inspection and keep the paperwork. A contractor who asks you to pull the permit is a warning sign, and we say so.

Is ProBuild Remodeling a franchise?

No. We are one company with one license per state and our own supervisors and crews in each. There is no franchisee between you and the people who signed your contract.

Who actually does the work?

Our own supervisors and named crews, employed or contracted directly by us and background-checked. Specialty trades like electrical and plumbing are licensed partners we have worked with on dozens of projects, introduced to you by name.

Are you licensed in my state?

We only take work in states where we hold a license. The licenses page lists the number for each state so you can check it with the state board before you call us.

What happens if something goes wrong after the project ends?

You call the same supervisor. Every project carries a written ten-year workmanship warranty that transfers to the next owner of the house, backed by a company with a fixed address.

Why do you publish your prices?

Because most homeowners tell us the scariest part is not knowing the number. Three tiers in writing let you decide where the money goes before you ever talk to a salesperson.

How is a national company accountable locally?

Through a named local supervisor, a local license number and a local crew. The national part is the written guarantees, the warranty and the fixed address that stand behind them.

Do you work with insurance companies?

Yes. For storm, water and fire damage we document the loss with photos, give you a written repair-or-replace opinion and meet the adjuster on site. You decide who to hire after you have the estimate.
