A handyman visit costs $190 to $1,400. You pick the block of time, we price the list into it.
Most lists of four to six small jobs fit a half day. Parts are billed at cost with receipts, and if the work finishes early in a half-day or full-day block, we add items from your list or bill only the time used.

Handyman services, defined the way we price them.
Handyman services are small home repairs, installations and maintenance jobs that one or two people can finish in a day, such as fixing doors, patching drywall, recaulking tubs, replacing fixtures and working through a punch list. ProBuild Remodeling provides them with licensed, insured and background-checked technicians, priced by the hour or the half day with a two-hour minimum.
The service covers repairs, like-for-like replacements, mounting and installing, caulking, small carpentry, touch-up painting and safety items such as grab bars and alarms. It does not include work that needs a permit, like new circuits, moving plumbing or structural changes; those are flagged and quoted as projects by a supervisor. Parts are billed at cost with receipts.
It is for homeowners with a list of small fixes, sellers working through an inspection report, new owners settling in, landlords turning over a unit and families making a parent's home safer. It is not for full remodels or for emergencies such as active flooding, which go straight to our restoration crews.

- Two-hour minimum
- The smallest visit we book. It covers travel, setup and the first two hours of work, whatever the job.
- Half-day block
- Four hours on site at a set price. Unused time goes to other items on your list or is not billed.
- Parts at cost
- Materials charged at what we paid, with the receipt attached, instead of a markup on each item.
- Punch list
- A list of small unfinished or broken items around a house, often after a sale inspection or a move.
- Like-for-like
- Replacing a part with the same type in the same place, which usually needs no permit or other trade.
- GFCI outlet
- An outlet that cuts power in a split second if it senses a shock risk. Required near water by code.
- Strike plate
- The metal plate on the door frame where the latch catches. Moving it fixes most doors that will not latch.
- Silicone caulk
- A flexible, waterproof sealant for tubs, showers and sinks. It lasts longer than latex caulk in wet areas.

How much does a handyman charge per hour?
Our rate is $95 to $125 per hour depending on your area, with a two-hour minimum of $190 to $320. A half day is $420 to $700 and a full day $780 to $1,400. Parts are billed at cost with receipts.
Why is there a two-hour minimum?
Every visit includes travel, loading the right parts and setting up to protect your floors. A 20-minute job still takes most of an hour of our day. The minimum lets us send a licensed, insured technician instead of a gig worker.
Can a handyman do electrical or plumbing work?
Like-for-like swaps, such as a faucet, a light fixture or a GFCI outlet in the same box, are usually fine. New circuits, moved pipes or anything needing a permit go to our licensed electricians and plumbers as a separate quote.
What should I have ready for a handyman visit?
A written list, a photo of each item and any parts you already bought. Clear the area around each job, and put pets in another room. Knowing where the water shutoff and the breaker panel are saves time on plumbing and fixture work.
How fast can a handyman come out?
Most visits happen within two to five business days. Urgent items like a door that will not lock or a running toilet can often be seen within a day or two. The scheduler gives you the first open window when you text.
Can you fix everything on my home inspection list?
We can handle most small items, like caulking, loose railings, missing covers and door adjustments. Items like a failing roof, electrical panel issues or foundation cracks need a licensed trade or a project estimate, and we flag them in writing.
Do I pay for the full block if the work finishes early?
No. In a half-day or full-day block, extra time goes to other items on your list if you want. If the list is done, we bill only the time used, never less than the two-hour minimum.
Is the handyman's work guaranteed?
Yes. Handyman work is covered by the same written workmanship warranty as our larger projects. If a patch cracks, a door stops latching or a caulk line we ran fails, the technician comes back and fixes it at no charge.
